Miriam Ramos, brazilian pianist, is graduated from the Music School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Teachers such as Nadia Boulanger and Dominique Merlet In Paris and Ilona Kabos in London have greatly contributed toward her artistic development. She was awarded the title of “Lecturer and Doctor in Music” at the UFRJ and was appointed Full Professor. She has performed throughout Brazil, playing often with major Brazilian Orchestras, under respected musicians and conductors such as Arthur Fiedler, Alceo Bocchino, José Serebrier, Pablo Kömlos, Armando Prazeres, Norton Morozowicz among others. In international Concerts Miriam Ramos has perfomed in Europe, the Americas, the middle east and Japan with unanimous critical acclaim.

Her repertoire covers more than 200 masterpieces played in public, 22 piano concerts and 5 quintets. From  Bach  throughout  the   classics (Mozart, Beethoven), the  romantics (Schubert,   Schumann, Mendelssohn, Lizst, Chopin) and the impressionists and moderns (Debussy, Ravel, Prokofieff,  Bela Bartok), all great composers have been addressed  by  Miriam  in  her  long  tenure  as  a  renowned international performer and lecturer.She has recorded 26 CDs featuring a gold selection of  the  piano literature with special attention devoted to brazilian composers from the XIX and XX centuries as well as contemporary authors
